Karnataka Transfers 34 IPS Officers in Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle; Key Changes in Bengaluru Crime and Traffic Divisions

In a shock for the state police, 22 cops have been institutionally quarantined after a duo, arrested for allegedly stealing iron items from a construction site, tested positive in Bengaluru.
All the 22 cops are attached to the Hebbagodi police station in Bengaluru Rural. They include home guards and fingerprint experts.
A senior police officer told theBengalurulive that it is mandatory to test arrested persons for Covid-19. Their test reports on May 20 came positive. They are listed as P-1,396 and P-1,397, 30 and 28 years old respectively.
“The health department has initiated contact tracing in the case, ” ahealth official said.
