Bengaluru, July 10: The Department of Registration and Stamps, Government of Karnataka, has announced that all Sub-Registrar Offices (SROs) across the state will remain open and fully operational on Sunday, July 12, 2026, even though the day is a public holiday.
According to an official notification, members of the public will be able to avail themselves of all regular services, including property registration, purchase of stamp papers and other registration-related services, at Sub-Registrar Offices across Karnataka.
The department has advised citizens planning property transactions or other registration-related work to utilise the special working day and complete their pending documentation without waiting for the next working day.
Officials said all offices will function during their normal working hours and provide routine public services as on any regular working day.
The Department of Registration and Stamps has not specified the reason for keeping all Sub-Registrar Offices open on the public holiday. However, the official notification states that the decision has been taken to facilitate public convenience and ensure uninterrupted delivery of registration-related services.
Citizens have been requested to make use of the opportunity to complete property registration and other departmental formalities on July 12.
