Minister says 250 ‘corona’ beds ordered in all districts
BENGALURU:
To curb the spread of the deadly corona virus, the state government has decided to convert all its medical colleges into ‘war rooms’.
The move comes in the wake of one fatality in Kalaburagi and a total of 7 Covid-19 positive cases in Karnataka.
At a presser on Monday morning, Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar said directions have been issued to district administrations to make arrangements for 150 to 250 beds in all district hospitals and medical colleges.
He said around 3,000 beds have been readied in various hospitals in Bengaluru, and similar arrangements will be made in all districts.
