BENGALURU:
The state cabinet has hiked the age limit for recruitment to the post of Police Sub Inspector (PSI) in the Karnataka police department by 2 years on humanitarian grounds.
Consequently, the age limit for the general category has risen from 28 years to 30 years, and for the reserved category from 30 years to 32 years. “A 30-year-old general candidate and a 32-year-old reserved class candidate will now be eligible for the PSI recruitment examination and interview,” Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister JC Madhuswamy said. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೋಲಿಸ್ ಪಿ.ಎಸ್.ಐ ನೇಮಕಾತಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ವಯೋಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವರ್ಗದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ 30 ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ 32 ವಯಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ಇಂದು ನಡೆದ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರ್ಮಾನ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಸದ್ಯದ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಂದೆ ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುವ ನೇಮಕಾತಿಗೆ ಅನ್ವಯವಾಗಲಿದ್ದು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಯವಕರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ.

For this, the Karnataka Police Staff (Recruitment) Amendment Rules have been approved by the cabinet. Similarly, the Department of Education has approved Recruitment Rule 2014 for additional content and extension of the Amendment Act and the Karnataka VV and Other Law Amendment Act.
