A Hong Kong court has sentenced Lam Cheuk-ting, a veteran democrat, and six other men to several years in prison for their roles in the 2019 riots. The sentencing comes in the aftermath of a violent incident on July 21, 2019, when over 100 white-shirted men stormed the Yuen Long MTR station, attacking bystanders and journalists with clubs and sticks.
