VIJAYAPURA: Sixteen-month-old Satwik Mujagonda, who was rescued from a borewell on his father’s farm land at Lachyan village in Indi taluk after a 20-hour operation on Thursday, is stable and all his vital organs are functioning normally. District surgeon Dr Shivanand Mastiholi, who checked on the toddler, described it as a miracle that Satwik had suffered no harm.

Speaking to Public TV, Dr Mastiholi said, “Satwik is health and there is no reason for worry. He is currently in the ICU. A CT scan of his heart, chest and abdomen were conducted yesterday and all his parameters are normal. This is nothing short of a miracle”.

Further, he said Satwik like ‘uppittu’ (upma) and he was given that along with ragi porridge on Friday. “He will be under observation for 48 hours and based on his health condition, he will be discharged”, he added.

The boy’s father Satish Mujagonda told Public TV, “The doctors did an MRI scan and say that Satwik’s condition is alright. We are grateful to the district administration for saving our child. Our son was saved due to the blessings of Siddalinga Maharaj, the presiding deity of the village. We will rename him during the Siddalinga Maharaj temple fair which will be held on April 28”.
