It’s not only trains, people in Karnataka who want to return to their home states can also hire state-run buses for the purpose.
The Karnataka government has clarified that stranded persons like migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists and students can hire buses from state-run road transport corporations.

In a circular, Revenue (Disaster Management) Principal Secretary T K Anil Kumar said facilities similar to the special trains on a payment basis may be made available by state-run KSRTC/NWKRTC/NEKRTC/BMTC to transport workers under the relevant guidelines.
