BBMP’s E-Aasthi house khata project extended to 11 wards in Shantinagar and CV Raman Nagar Assembly constituencies
Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Ltd to begin operations from July 1
BENGALURU:
BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta was appointed interim CEO of Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Ltd (BSWML) at its first board meeting on Thursday. Gupta, who is Managing Director of the newly set up company, will continue to hold charge as CEO till a new person is appointed to the post.
The board resolved to begin a search for a CEO and the screening committee, constituted on June 16, will assist the board in selecting a suitable candidate for the post. The board also resolved to establish the head office of BSWML on the 1st and 2nd floors of No.30/1, BBMP Building, Thimmaiah Road, Vasanth Nagar, Bengaluru. Work related to setting up the office will begin soon.
BSWML is likely to start operations from July 1, 2021. The company aims to collect, segregate, transport, process, compost, recycle and dispose all types of solid waste, excluding biomedical waste and waste from public toilets and urinals.
