Bengaluru: In a shocking incident reported from Byadarahalli, a young woman allegedly set her boyfriend on fire following a relationship dispute, highlighting the disturbing rise in violent crimes linked to personal relationships.

According to initial reports, the couple had been in a relationship, but tensions grew after differences and suspicions of involvement with other partners. What began as a seemingly normal relationship reportedly turned toxic over time, eventually leading to a tragic outcome.

Police sources indicate that the woman had been demanding expensive gifts, including a motorcycle and mobile phone. The situation worsened when the young man began distancing himself, leading to further suspicion and confrontation.

On the day of the incident, the woman allegedly called the young man to meet her under the pretext of resolving issues and discussing marriage. However, the meeting turned violent as she reportedly tied him up and set him on fire.

It is also suspected that she had planned to end her own life after the act, as poison and tablets were reportedly found at the scene. However, the à€Żà„à€”à€• succumbed to injuries, while the accused survived.

Eyewitness accounts describe chaos at the scene, with flames engulfing the house and locals gathering in large numbers. Family members stated that by the time help arrived, the situation had already escalated beyond control.

Police have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation to ascertain the exact sequence of events and motive. The incident has once again raised serious concerns about emotional instability and violent tendencies emerging from strained relationships.
