Bengaluru: Senior Karnataka Congress leader D. K. Shivakumar on Tuesday categorically stated that there is no confusion whatsoever between him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, asserting that all discussions have already taken place in the presence of the party high command.
Responding to repeated questions about leadership speculation, Shivakumar said any perception of confusion exists only in the minds of others, not his. He emphasised that there were no secret or private discussions between the two leaders, and that all talks were held collectively with senior party leadership.
Shivakumar also cautioned Congress ministers and MLAs against making public statements on internal matters, warning that such remarks only damage the party. “Whether statements are made in my favour or against me, they do not benefit the party,” he said, adding that silence would serve the organisation better at this stage.

Referring to the guidance given by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Shivakumar said party leaders should strictly follow the advice to refrain from unnecessary comments. He noted that indiscipline and speculation only distract from governance and organisational responsibilities.
Addressing questions about notices issued to certain leaders, Shivakumar said such matters should be left to the party high command to decide, reiterating that internal issues must be resolved through official channels rather than media debates.
The Karnataka Congress leader further said he was travelling to meet senior party leaders in connection with upcoming elections and organisational meetings, underlining that political processes and coordination within the party were ongoing in a structured manner.
