The state capital’s Wednesday spike of 42 coronavirus cases has increased the number of infected wards from 52 to 60 and the number of infected areas from 64 to 85 in just 24 hours.

The new wards to be infected are: 133-Hampinagar, 164-Vidyapeeta, 64-Raj Mahal Guttahalli, 108-Sriram Mandir, 94- Gandhi Nagar, 68-Mahalakshmi Layout, 9-Vidyaranyapura, 12-Shettihalli.
Bengaluru now has 244 active coronavirus cases.
