Six personnel of the Jalahalli traffic police station have been suspended for dereliction of duty as well as for not observing Covid-related protocol.
While passing the suspension orders, DCP Soumyalatha S K has warned the personnel that further action will be taken against them if they are found working elsewhere or doing business during the suspension period.
The suspended staff are ASI Manjunathaiah, Head Constable Nagaraju, Constables Padmanabha, Madhusudan and Vishwanath, and Woman Constable Sujana.Â
The Inspector of the Jalahalli traffic police station had on August 11 assigned the six personnel to traffic management at Jalahalli Junction, Gangammana Circle and Sahitya Koota Junction.
However, the six staffers were seen in a group at Sahitya Koota park, and were not wearing masks or observing social distancing.
