City court to pass order on their common petition today

BENGALURU:

Jittery in the wake of fellow-minister Ramesh Jarkiholi’s resignation over an alleged ‘sex CD’, six other Karnataka ministers have approached a city court seeking restraining orders against TV, print and online media.

The six ministers — Shivaram Hebbar, BC Patil, Narayana Gowda, Dr K Sudhakar, ST Somasekhar and Bhyrati Basavaraj – were represented by advocate Channabasappa SN before the CCH 20-XXVI additional city civil sessions judge

The original suit No. 25354/2021 seeks a ‘permanent prohibitory injunction’ against a group of 68 media houses. The judge has reserved his order for Saturday.
