BENGALURU:

The state government has announced compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the family of Dr Nagendra, a government medical officer who committed suicide.

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has instructed the Mysuru District Regional Commissioner to file a report on the case within 7 days. Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar tweeted that the wife of Dr Nagendra would get a job in the Sub-Registrar’s office.
The medical officer committed suicide at his Alanahalli residence in Mysuru on Thursday morning. He had been working as a taluk medical officer in Nanjangud for the last one year.

— Dr Sudhakar K (@mla_sudhakar) August 21, 2020
