With a fireman attached to the Peenya fire station testing positive on Thursday, the number of infected fire brigade personnel in Bengaluru is now 42.
Other staffers of the Peenya station have been put in quarantine, and the station has been sanitized.
On Wednesday, staff at the MS Building and Hebbal fire stations were also reportedly infected. They are in quarantine and the stations have been sanitized.
Meanwhile, the ACB’s office at Khanija Bhavan has been sanitized after a Dy SP tested positive. Staffers who were in contact with him have been sent in quarantine.
Meanwhile, the Kalasipalya police station, which had been sealed for several days, has been reopened. City police commissioner Bhaskar Rao visited the station on Thursday to enquire about the well-being of the personnel.
