Bengaluru: Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has directed officials in the BBMP East Zone to immediately issue a circular making installation of separate wet and dry waste bins mandatory in buildings with more than three floors.

Speaking at a public grievance meeting held in the East Zone, Rao said the move is essential to streamline waste segregation and tackle mounting garbage issues. He instructed health officials to serve notices to all eligible buildings after the circular is issued, mandating compliance within their premises.
