BENGALURU:
With 3 of the returnees to Belagavi from the Tablighi Jamaat meeting in Delhi testing positive, the state’s tally has risen to 128.
District Incharge Minister Jagdish Shettar told the media, “Three Belagavi residents are infected.These three were among those who went to the Jamaat meeting in Delhi. Around 62 people from Belagavi attended the meeting in Delhi, of which 33 throat swabs have been sent for testing.
“The report from Shimoga’s lab has confirmed the three are infected. But we are waiting for the Pune report. An official announcement will be made after the lab report from Pune is received. The three are currently receiving treatment at BIMS Hospital in Belagavi.”
Details of today’s covid-19 positive case as follows:
# P125: 75-year-old male and a resident of Bagalkote. The detailed investigation
is under process and admitted at Designated hospital.
# P126: 70-year-old Male and resident of Belgavi. He Attended Tablighi Jamaat Congregation held from 13th to 18th March?2020 at Delhi.
# P127: 26-year-old Male Belgavi, attended Tablighi Jamaat Congregation held from 13th to 18th March?2020 at Delhi.
# P128: 20-year-old Male Attended Tablighi Jamaat Congregation held from 13th to 18th March?2020 at Delhi.
