According to initial reports, the government bus allegedly went out of control while entering the bus stand premises and crashed into people standing on the platform.
Police immediately took the bus driver into custody. During preliminary questioning, the driver reportedly claimed that brake failure led to the loss of control.
A case has been registered, and police have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, including possible mechanical failure and driver negligence.
The incident has once again raised serious concerns over vehicle maintenance and passenger safety at public transport hubs across Karnataka.
