BENGALURU:
Two new Covid-19 related fatalities have occurred in Bengaluru, according to sources.
A 61-year-old woman from Agrahara Dasarahalli has died after failing to respond to treatment. Her relatives had admitted her to a private hospital when she fell ill, and while there she tested positive for the coronavirus.
She died 8 days after the diagnosis, and 4 of her contacts have also tested positive for Covid-19.
In another case, the report of a 57-year-old woman from Mahalakshmi Layout, who had died earlier, came positive on Sunday. The family had conducted her funeral even before the report came.
BBMP officials are in the process of tracing all those who attended the funeral.
As per the bulletin released by the Health Department: “P-2519 (61 years Female Patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Diagnosed as SARI, known case of DM, HTN, and Hypothyroidism. She was admitted on 29.05.2020 to designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban and was in ICU on Ventilator. Died on
06.06.2020).”
“P-4315 (57 years Male Patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Known case of DM & HTN. He was suffering from filariasis & chronic myeloid leukemia. He was admitted on 03.06.2020 to designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on 07.06.2020),” bulletin reads.
