Bengaluru: In a major administrative reform, the Karnataka government has issued a draft notification to restructure the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) into the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) with five new municipal corporations under its ambit. As part of this transition, the government has also identified 10 temporary zonal offices for smooth functioning of civic administration.

- Main building (Annex-1) and Annex-2
- Bengaluru Central Municipal Corporation
- Zone 1: Existing East Zonal Office
- Zone 2: Annex-3 of Central Office
- Bengaluru East Municipal Corporation
- Zone 1: Existing Mahadevapura Zonal Office
- Zone 2: Existing KR Puram Chief Engineer’s Office
- Bengaluru West Municipal Corporation
- Zone 1: Existing RR Nagar Zonal Office
- Zone 2: Existing Palike Soudha, Chandralayout Zonal Office
- Bengaluru North Municipal Corporation
- Zone 1: Existing Yelahanka Zonal Office
- Zone 2: Existing Dasarahalli Zonal Office
- Bengaluru South Municipal Corporation
- Zone 1: Existing South Zone Office
- Zone 2: Existing Bommanahalli Zonal Office
Government Directive
Officials have been instructed to make necessary arrangements for Commissioners, Special Commissioners, Chief Engineers, Joint Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to operate from these identified offices until permanent arrangements are made.
