Sources said the video journalist had been deputed to cover one of the containment zones — Padarayanapura — and had also visited Vidhana Soudha several times for media briefings by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and other cabinet colleagues.
The Karnataka government, at the initiative of Education Minister S Suresh Kumar, had decided to screen all media professionals covering Covid-19 issues in Bengaluru city.
The infected video journalist was screened on Thursday along with 120 other journalists at CV Raman Nagar Hospital in Indira Nagar.
Sources told thebengalurulive that the regional TV channel concerned had already directed its reporters and video journalists to work from home and go on the field only when required.Â
A source said, “The department has obtained the primary contacts list from the video journalist and their activities are being watched.”
Another senior official said the video journalist had not made any complaint of fever, cough or cold which could be signs of Covid-19.
