Vatal Breathes Fireover Town Hall Ban

Date:

Warns mayor he’ll ‘shut down’ civic events

BENGALURU:

The city’s iconic Town Hall is in the eye of a storm, with former MLA and pro-Kannada activist Vatal Nagaraj ‘warning’ mayor M Goutham Kumar that he will not allow a single programme to be held in the city.

The ‘threat’ comes after the BBMP council led by Kumar decided to ban all kinds of protests in front of the Sir KP Puttanna Chetty Town Hall.

On Sunday, Nagraj ‘protested’ in front of the Town Hall, telling the media later that the Town Hall is a historic building and people have every right to hold protests at the site.
