MYSURU:
District officials here are panicking after a mother-daughter duo slipped out of home quarantine in Bengaluru and came to Mysuru, where both tested positive on Wednesday.
The case is of particular concern in Mysuru as the district has been declared a coronavirus-free one so far.
The 50-year-old woman and her 27-year-old daughter, who is 6 months pregnant, arrived in Mysuru from Bengaluru on Tuesday. The authorities took both of them to a designated Covid hospital and sealed off two roads in G-Block of Ramakrishnanagar.
The mother-daughter duo is said to have travelled across Mysuru city, a fact that has caused much anxiety among the public. They are residents of G-Block, 7th Cross in Ramakrishna Nagar.
The duo had arrived in Bengaluru from Mumbai and were in home quarantine at their Bengaluru home on being permitted to do so because of the daughter’s pregnancy.
