Ashwath Narayan flags off ‘Ride for Appu’ bike rally from Freedom Park to actor’s burial site
BENGALURU:
Puneeth Rajkumar will remain an inspiring personality ‘forever’ through his films and social service, Dr CN Ashwath Narayan, Minister and MLA of Malleswaram constituency, said on Sunday.
Flagging off the ‘Ride for Appu’ bike rally organized by ‘Team Dwichakra’ in association with Inchara Studio, Narayan said ‘Appu’ will continue to inspire generations to come.
The achievements of ‘Appu’ are spreading to every corner day by day. This should motivate all of us, including the student community. Everyone should attempt to attain excellence in his/her chosen field along with having a pro-people outlook, the Minister said.
Helmets in tribute
Around 200 riders participated in the bike rally held from Freedom Park to the burial site of ‘Appu’. In a tribute to Puneeth Rajkumar, who was an advocate of helmet awareness among bikers, all the participants wore helmets. In fact, the Minister flagged off the event by riding a bike wearing a helmet.
