The Karnataka government has announced the appointment of Munish Moudgil, a 1998 batch IAS officer, as the new special commissioner (Revenue). He will be holding concurrent charge.
Moudgil brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Commissioner of Survey, Settlement, and Land Records. He has also held the position of Deputy Commissioner in Ramanagar district from June 2008 to June 2009.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Moudgil has been honored with the national award for e-governance by the Central government.
Sources have revealed that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar had expressed his desire for Moudgil to be appointed as the special commissioner of BBMP, with a focus on improving the revenue of the civic body. This recommendation stems from Moudgil’s successful implementation of the UPOR project in the Pattabhiramnagar ward of the Jayanagar assembly constituency.
Moudgil is a principal secretary rank IAS officer and also eligible to become BBMP Chief Commissioner.
