Bengaluru: To mark National Sports Day 2025, celebrated in memory of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, PM SHRI KV MEG & Centre organized its Mini Sports Meet 2025 at the school’s Sports Pavilion. The event, held on August 29, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and was inaugurated by S. P. Verma, Retd. Principal, KVS, who attended as the Chief Guest.
The celebrations began with a Guard of Honour, Flag Hoisting, Welcome Address, Declaration of the Meet Open, March Past, and Oath-Taking Ceremony. Students from Balvatika to Class V showcased colorful displays and competed in various athletic events, symbolizing energy, discipline, and sporting spirit.
In the team competitions, Shivaji House clinched the winners’ trophy, while Ashoka House secured the runners-up spot, reflecting healthy rivalry and teamwork.
Chief Guest S. P. Verma emphasized the importance of sports in student life:
“Sports are not just about medals but about building **character, resilience, discipline, and teamwork. School-level events nurture values that shape children into future leaders.”
The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony and a formal Vote of Thanks, bringing the curtain down on a day filled with youthful vigor, competitive spirit, and pride.
