No leave for BBMP health staff

BENGALURU:

In line with other departments in Karnataka, an emergency meeting on Covid-19 precautions was held with civic health officials. Following the meeting, BBMP Special Commissioner (Health) Ravi Kumar Surpur notified the following: “Till the virus is controlled, there will not be leave on second Saturday (government holiday) and Sunday. All the employees of maternity hospitals, health and family welfare offices and primary health centres, including in-charge doctors, staff, permanent and temporary staff hired on contract, to work as per the orders passed.”

Even staff who are on leave have been asked to return to their posts immediately. The in-charges of hospitals have been asked not to sanction leaves of any doctors till the situation is under control.
