There was no question of my refusing to be hospitalized, Imran Pasha says in video
BENGALURU:
Covid-19 positive Padarayanapura corporator Imran Pasha has blamed the media for creating the impression that he was resisting going to hospital when he was shown waving to his supporters before getting into an ambulance on Saturday.
Pasha, who was admitted to Victoria Hospital on Saturday afternoon, released a video shot inside the hospital which was posted on his Facebook profile.
In his video message, he said he was a law-abiding citizen but he was being presented negatively, adding it was fake news spread against him on social media platforms.
“It was the creation of media houses against me stating that I was avoiding getting admitted in a hospital for treatment against Covid-19. As I am a responsible citizen and a public representative, I cannot go against the guidelines framed by the government, which has to be equally followed by me. There is no truth in the media claim that I opposed being hospitalized for treatment,” he added.
Pasha said: “On Friday, I was only a suspect of coronavirus and I was waiting for the confirmation report, which was expected only on Saturday morning. Then, I decided to stay at home on Friday night — I kept myself away from all of my family members and confined myself in one designated room. I slept very late and woke up late in the morning.”
