BENGALURU:
Kannadiga soldier Captain Pranjal who was martyred in a gun battle with militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Wednesday, was laid to rest with utmost respect. Pranjal’s mortal remains were cremated at the Somasundarapalaya crematorium in Jigani, Anekal taluk of Bengaluru Urban district.
Following the final darshan at the residence of Nandanavan Layout near Jigani in Anekal Taluk of Bengaluru Urban District, the body was transported in an open vehicle with full government honors.
The soldier’s mortal remains were brought from Nandavan Layout to Somasundara Palya Crematorium via Jigania OTC Circle, Bannerghatta Main Road, Nice Road Junction, Konappa Agrahara Circle, Kudlu Gate.
Along the way, members of the public and students paid their respects to the fallen soldier, holding the tricolor flag.
