Bengaluru | Cab Driver’s Fury Over Wife’s Phone Chats Leads to Murder

BENGALURU: In a tragic turn of events, a 39-year-old cab driver in Bengaluru allegedly strangled his wife and then surrendered himself to the police, confessing to the crime. The incident took place on Tuesday, and the driver, identified as Chandrashekhar, was taken into custody after the police visited the scene of the crime.

According to the police, Chandrashekhar had become suspicious of his wife’s behavior, which ultimately led to the murder. He was reportedly troubled by his wife’s frequent phone conversations with someone else, which often resulted in arguments between them.

On the day of the incident, an argument escalated between Chandrashekhar and his 35-year-old wife, resulting in him strangling her in a fit of rage. Following the crime, he immediately went to the Sampigehalli police station and confessed to the murder.

During interrogation, Chandrashekhar revealed that he suspected his wife of having an affair with someone else. The couple had been married for 12 years and had two sons, aged 10 and 6, who were fortunately at school at the time of the incident.

The police have registered a case of murder against Chandrashekhar and have arrested him in connection with the tragic event.
