DAVANAGERE: A man killed his father by smashing his head with a stone blaming the latter for his mother’s suicide, at Lakkimpura village in Jagalur taluk on Friday. He has since been arrested.
Anjanappa (60), a construction worker, would consume alcohol every day and harass his wife Thappamma (52). It is suspected that she was fed of the daily fights and ended her life on Thursday night.
Their son Ramesh (30) was informed that Thappamma had committed suicide by hanging due to alleged harassment by Anjanappa. Angered by this, Ramesh rushed home and killed his father by crushing his head with a stone. The Jagalur police visited the spot and have registered a case.
