BIDAR: A man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 16-year-old girl. It is said that he also sexually abused the minor.
Prakash Koli (29) had kidnapped the girl from a village in Basavakalyan taluk and had taken her to Pune in Maharashtra. He had then gone into hiding.
The accused was taken for a medical checkup and produced before a magistrate who remanded him to judicial custody.
The parents of the minor girl had lodged a complaint with the Basavakalyan Rural police who launched a hunt and nabbed the accused. He has since been remanded to judicial custody.
Prakash was divorced from his first wife. He had sent his second wife back to her parental home and then kidnapped the girl, police said.
