BENGALURU:
Central Crime Branch sleuths conducted a raid and seized liquor worth Rs 1.25 lakh, which was being sold at inflated prices taking advantage of the nationwide lockdown.
Around 100 liquor bottles were seized and two persons were arrested. They are Dhananjay (29), resident of Vijayanagar, and Sanjay (29), resident of RT Nagar.
According to Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Patil, the liquor bottles were being sold at Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 each.
The seized liquor includes 26 bottles of William Lawson’s Blended Whisky, 23 bottles of Dewars White Label Whisky, 48 bottles of Kingfisher Pint Beer and 3 bottles of Vodka.
