Date:

BENGALURU:

The bustling capital city — Bengaluru, has developed an undeniable connection with leopards. These majestic creatures have become a common sight in the urban areas, much to the surprise and concern of the city’s residents.

A leopard was sighted near Hosur Road, Kudlugate, during the night. Another sighting occurred near Hospalya of Kudlu Gate. It is during the cover of darkness that leopards tend to move swiftly and hunt for food, undisturbed by human interference. These predators have also been known to target domestic animals, including dogs, in their quest for sustenance.

For years, the citizens of Bengaluru have been preoccupied with issues such as road potholes and traffic congestion. However, the recent intrusion of leopards into their daily lives has become a pressing concern.

The rapid expansion of city has led to the destruction of surrounding forests, leaving these wild animals with no choice but to venture into the city in search of food and shelter. The encroachment on their natural habitat has resulted in these magnificent creatures wreaking havoc in unexpected places.

Just a few years ago, a leopard managed to break into an apartment complex, leaving the residents in a state of disbelief. Prior to that incident, the sight of a leopard casually strolling through a school at night went viral, capturing the attention of people worldwide.
