BBMP Commissioner to review progress every fortnight
BENGALURU:
Minister of Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar expressed his dissatisfaction on Monday with the delay in flyover work near Shivanagar junction and Basaveshwara Circle on West Chord Road.
The minister had gone along with BBMP Commissioner Manjunatha Prasad to inspect the work. Questioned about the delay, the contractor cited manpower shortage due to the Covid crisis.
The BBMP Commissioner said he would review the work on the flyovers every 15 days in a bid to expedite the work.
The project was envisaged in 2016, and the proposed underpass at Shivanagar junction was shelved in favour of a flyover after opposition by local residents.
