Karnataka: Vehicle Carrying Election Observers Crashes into Parked Bus, Two People Hurt

KOPPAL: In a dramatic turn of events, a vehicle transporting election observers collided head-on with a parked Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) bus in Vidyanagar, Gangavathi taluk. The driver of the jeep, Shivanand, who worked for the Fisheries Department, sustained severe injuries in the accident.

Additionally, a police constable who was also in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The collision resulted in significant damage to the vehicle, leaving it badly crushed. Both injured parties were promptly taken to the government hospital in Gangavathi for medical treatment.

Upon learning of the incident, Gangavathi tahsildar U Nagaraj quickly arrived at the hospital to check on the condition of the injured individuals. The Gangavathi Rural police have since launched an investigation and registered a case regarding the crash.
