BENGALURU:
Apprehensive about suspected Covid-19 cases disregarding home quarantine measures, the Karnataka government has decided to track all these persons via their mobile devices.
Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar announced the decision on Wednesday during the assembly session. At a presser later in the evening, he said the decision was taken as several of the suspect cases were not following the home quarantine regime and were going out, thus posing a danger to others.
He said that if the officials reveal the procedure of tracking them through their mobile devices, they might even switch off their phones. Hence, it was not wise to share too many details with the media, he noted.
