7 days institutional, 7 days home quarantine
BENGALURU:
With domestic flights set to resume on May 25, subject to the guidelines of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Karnataka government has gone one step further and has imposed a 14-day ‘mixed’ quarantine for travellers arriving from the six states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
The state health department’s revised SOP for these six states involves institutional quarantine of 7 days, followed by 7 days of home quarantine. These returnees will be tested between the 5th and 7th day. Returnees from all other states will be home quarantined.Â
Karnataka DGP Praveen Sood tweeted: “Incoming domestic flight passengers from Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh will undergo 7 days’ institutional quarantine followed by home quarantine.”
