Bengaluru: Energy Minister K.J. George on Tuesday dismissed ongoing speculation about a change in the state leadership, stating there is no discussion within the Congress party regarding the replacement of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
“There is no vacancy for the Chief Minister’s post. Siddaramaiah was appointed by the party high command after consulting 136 MLAs. There is absolutely no internal discussion about leadership change within our party,” George clarified.
He further added, “It is the opposition that keeps speculating about when our government will fall. We do not need to respond to such baseless chatter.”
