BDA services will be also brought in ‘Janasevaka’ ambit: Ashwath Narayan
BENGALURU:
Services of the BDA, which are currently not included in ‘Janasevaka’ programme (meant to deliver 79 citizen services at the doorstep of people) will be brought into its ambit, Dr CN Ashwath Narayan, Minister and MLA from Malleswaram, said on Saturday.
He was speaking after symbolically distributing various services to 30 citizens in a programme organised at Sangolli Rayanna Park in Subramanyanagara so to create awareness about the state government’s initiative among people of the constituency. The Minister said he would discuss the issue of including BDA services with the Chief Minister soon.
Detailed booklet
“As part of the programme, handbooks will be distributed to every household in all seven wards of the constituency. The booklet has a list of all 79 citizen services pertaining to 9 departments, contact numbers of officials and janasevaks to be contacted to avail specified services, the government fee prescribed for a particular service, and the janasevak fee. It also mentions the time needed to deliver a particular service,” Narayan said.
“If the concerned official/janasevak is contacted on the phone regarding the service concerned, he/she will come to the doorstep and further the process. This will remove dependency on middlemen to get services done, and save time, energy, and unnecessary money spent in the form of corruption. The prescribed fee should be remitted only through digital mode to ensure transparency, and services will be delivered in a span of 1 day to 21 days,” the Minister said.
Services related to Aadhaar card, Arogya health card, biometrics, income certificate and caste certificate are among those that will be delivered at the doorstep.
