Bengaluru: Senior Congress leader and legislator B R Patil on Monday confirmed that he had met party general secretary in charge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala and conveyed all his concerns. He clarified that he had no personal discontent but only wanted the system to be fixed, adding that it was now up to the high command to decide the next course of action.
“I had received a call from the high command. I met Surjewala and told him everything I wanted to. He has noted down all my concerns. The decision on what action to take next lies with the party leadership,” Patil told reporters after the meeting.
When asked about reports of dissatisfaction, Patil responded, “There is no personal unhappiness. I am a fighter, not someone who complains. My only demand is that the system be set right.”
He added, “I am neither happy nor unhappy. I am a political worker. I don’t operate on feelings of joy or sorrow. I have said what I had to.”
Patil, who has expressed displeasure in recent weeks over internal issues within the party, said his meeting with Surjewala was constructive and that he trusted the leadership to take an appropriate call.
