Jain NGO serves food to needy

Over 4 lakh food packets distributed in Bengaluru

BENGALURU:

Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), a worldwide organization of Jain businessmen, industrialists, knowledge workers and professionals, has been providing food to the needy in Bengaluru since March 29, to ease their woes during the lockdown.

It started with 14,500 meals twice a day and has ramped it up to 40,000 meals in the last 11 days

Among those who witnessed and complimented the work of JITO were DyCM Dr Ashwath Narayan, MPs P C Mohan and Tejasvi Surya, BBMP commissioner Anil Kumar, Mayor Sri Gautham Kumar, Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao, MLC Lehar Singh Siroya and IAS offficer Manoj Kumar Jain.

Jito chairman Shripal Khinvasara , chief secretary Dinesh Bohra and Manav Seva chairman Paras Bhandari, Sajjan Raj Mehta welcomed the dignitaries.
