Bengaluru, March 16: The deadline for submitting claims and objections regarding the revised draft voters’ list for the upcoming General Elections to the five City Corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has been extended, providing citizens additional time to verify and correct their electoral details.
According to officials, the ward-wise revised draft voters’ list for the 2026 civic elections was published on March 9, 2026, following directions issued by the Karnataka State Election Commission.
The draft electoral roll is available for public inspection at the offices of Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), and respective Ward Offices across all Assembly constituencies within the GBA limits.
Citizens can also access and verify their names online through the official website of the Greater Bengaluru Authority at:
https://gba.karnataka.gov.in/electoral2026
The website provides a “Search Tool by Name” feature that enables voters to quickly check their inclusion in the draft voters’ list.
Initially, the period for submitting claims and objections was scheduled from March 10 to March 16, 2026. However, during a meeting convened with representatives of recognised political parties, a unanimous request was made to extend the deadline to allow voters more time to review the draft list.
Following this request, the proposal was submitted to the State Election Commission, which subsequently approved an extension of the deadline. Citizens can now submit claims and objections until March 26, 2026, ensuring greater participation and accuracy in the electoral roll ahead of the civic elections.
Officials have urged residents to verify their voter details and submit corrections within the extended timeframe, as the final electoral roll will be prepared based on these submissions before the elections are conducted.
