IAS officer Thulasi Maddineni shunted out of BBMP

After her nearly 2-year tenure in Bengaluru’s civic agency, Maddineni is posted to Backward Classes Welfare Department

In a major development, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai transferred BBMP Special Commissioner (Finance) Thulasi Maddineni with immediate effect on Friday.

She is now posted as Secretary to the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Bengaluru, relieving another IAS officer, Major Manivannan P, of his concurrent charge.

“Smt Thulasi Maddineni, IAS (KN:2005), Special Commissioner (Finance), BBMP Bengaluru, is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Secretary to Government, Backward Classes Welfare Department, Bengaluru, relieving Major Manivannan P, IAS, from concurrent charge,” the order issued by DPAR reads.

Thulasi Maddineni has served in the civic agency for almost 22 months, having joined BBMP on September 18, 2020.
