Bengaluru: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently conducting searches at several educational institutions believed to be connected to Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara. These operations are taking place in Tumakuru and on the outskirts of Bengaluru, according to official sources.
The institutions under scrutiny include Sri Siddhartha Medical College and Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology in Tumakuru, as well as the Sri Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences in Nelamangala, located near Bengaluru.
The specific reasons for these searches have not yet been disclosed.
When approached by reporters for comments, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated, “I am not aware of the details… I will look into it and provide an update.” Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar added, “I find it perplexing that searches are being conducted at educational institutions. I do not have complete information at this time, but I will respond once I receive more details.”
