Plum post a ‘reward’ for 3-time MLA Vishwanath
BENGALURU:
The state government has appointed Yelahanka MLA SR Vishwanath, currently political secretary to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, as chairman of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA).
On August 30, the Chief Minister had appointed him as his political secretary. Vishwanath has been elected to the state assembly for three consecutive terms from the Yelahanka assembly constituency. A long-time RSS and BJP loyalist, he is reportedly aspiring for a cabinet berth.
