Yediyurappa enjoys MTR fare while keeping in mind Covid rules
BENGALURU:
MTR (Mavalli Tiffin Rooms) is a byword for unmatched South Indian fare in Bengaluru. And like the common man who makes a beeline to its outlets, especially for its fabled coffee, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa too did not let go the opportunity to drop in on a more relaxed second Saturday.
Yediyurappa, who was on his way to attend a public function in Yediyur ward, visited the MTR outlet and had breakfast along with his cabinet colleague Revenue Minister R Ashoka, Bengaluru South Member of Parliament Tejasvi Surya and the CM’s political secretary Shankargowda Patil.
For good measure, the CM and his breakfast companions set an example of proper social distancing while seated at a table in the eatery.

Tejasvi Surya tweeted: “The only CM in India today who can start his weekend with a breakfast at MTR – city’s most famous joint. Sri @BSYBJP’s #BengaluruModel of #Covid19 governance is worthy of emulation by rest of the country.”
