Tally includes infected techie’s wife, child and another person
BENGALURU:
In a major development, three more Bengalureans have been infected with the deadly corona virus (Covid-19), taking the total number of positive cases to four.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) lab in Pune has confirmed three more infected cases, while the state health department is scheduled to make an official announcement later on Tuesday.
According to a health official, the new cases include the wife and girl child of the infected techie who had returned from the US on March 1. The techie and his family have been admitted in Rajiv Gandhi Hospital. Another person who tested positive has been admitted to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Health and Family Welfare Minister B Sriramulu announced in a tweet that Karnataka now has four infected cases. The tweet reads: “Four infected cases have been reported in Karnataka and all family members are being treated. Hence it is requested that every citizen take precautionary measures to avoid coming in contact with the disease.”
