Govt steps up distribution channels for Remdesivir

BENGALURU:

Amid the acute shortage of oxygen and Remdesivir, the Karnataka government has set up an exclusive call centre to address both issues.

Steps taken by the government to address both issues include:

• Officers of drug control deputed to all 17 oxygen-supplying units in 3 shifts
• Officers of drug control deputed to all C and F facilities
• Dedicated call centre which can handle 10 calls at a time established to address grievances on oxygen and Remdesivir by health institutions and citizens
• Call centre number is 8951755722
• Steps have been taken to add another 11 distributors to supply Remdesivir
