Bengaluru, March 18: The Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) has achieved a significant milestone with its Microbiology Department receiving accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for a duration of four years.
This recognition underscores the department’s commitment to quality health services, which it has provided for over a decade.
Since 2016, the department has expanded its testing capabilities from just three tests to an impressive 66 tests as of 2026. The accreditation certificate, issued under the medical testing category, is valid until 2030, according to senior officials from the Department of Medical Education.
